Wednesday, 10/4/2017 - Monday, 10/9/2017: Students will work in groups on the Intro to Unit Circle Task. This has 10 parts and students are responsible for completing the parts listed each day.
Monday, 10/9/2017: Students will discover the radian as a unit of angle measure and wrap up the packet to be checked on Tuesday.
Tuesday, 10/10/2017: Students will complete a unit circle and work homework problems based on the packet.
Also we must start the Carousel Task. They also got a summary of task problems and here are the answers: and answers:
Wednesday 10/11/2017: PSAT After the PSAT, 3rd period learned about the relationship between linear and rotational velocities. This is the video that showed the gear relationships. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_i3PJIYtuY (Gears and Wheels) This one shows the difference between angular and linear velocity. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Lape_vG0Sc (Girl with Wheel) as does this one http://study.com/academy/lesson/how-to-convert-angular-velocity-to-linear-velocity.html (Free for a while) Note that tonight's assignment is from our real text.
Thursday, 10/12/2017 1st and 2nd periods did what 3rd period did yesterday.
Friday: 10/13/2017 Students took the first 10 question quiz on the unit circle. We then started a powerpoint about using the calculator to solve trig problems. We'll complete this powerpoint on Monday. Also, if a student wishes to drop down to on-level pre-calculus next semester, please have your parents write me a note by Tuesday, October 17, 2017
